Current research on CBD shows that cannabis could help African nations with the disease sickle cell anemia. Meetings held with Ugandan government officials in October 2024 have provided the impetus and foundation for the preparation of clinical trials to test the efficacy of Unique Therapeutics' liposomal formulations in the treatment of Sickle Cell Disease.
